About Me

Daniel Hawthorne, CPA

I help individuals and small businesses understand difficult tax situations, evaluate their options, and move toward a practical resolution.

I am a licensed California CPA (License No. 157884) with a background that includes public accounting audit work at KPMG, tax compliance work for individuals and small businesses, and working as a corporate accounting manager. I am also a member of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS), a professional organization focused on tax resolution and taxpayer representation.

That combination gives me a practical foundation for tax resolution: careful review of records, an understanding of compliance requirements, and the ability to explain complicated financial issues clearly. I help individuals and small businesses address IRS and California tax matters with a strategy grounded in the facts of each case.

My clients work directly with me throughout the engagement. My goal is to make a stressful process more understandable, identify the available paths forward, and provide attentive representation from our first conversation through resolution.

Every matter is approached with careful analysis, professional judgment, and respect for the facts. The goal is a well-supported strategy built around your actual circumstances.
